Top 10: #'s 8-10

I'm terrible about procrastinating but now it's crunch time and I have a thousand things to do, not to mention a wedding to attend this weekend that will be a weekend affair (shout out to Jesse & Miranda). I have my follow-on plan due when I arrive in San Francisco, so I've got to get that done now. This might be the last time I post before arriving in Japan and I wanted to be sure to finish my Top 10 list.

#8: Geisha. Thanks to Mrs. Welch at HCHS, I just finished Memoirs of a Geisha and can't wait to learn more while in Japan.

#9: Shrines, Temples, Museums, oh my!

#10. Parks & Gardens.

I'm ready for this adventure of a lifetime and cannot wait to take it all in. I'll try anything once and I know that every opportunity will be one that I will never forget. Here is a run-down of my itinerary:

June 8: leave Memphis for San Francisco (arrive at 11:30 am), orientation, reception at Consul General's home

June 9: leave for Japan at 11:25 am (US time)

June 10: arrive in Japan at 2:10 pm (Japan time)

June 11-13: Tokyo program lectures, seminars, traditional art performances (Kabuki & Kyogen), possible side trip to Tokyo Disney

June 14: free day with my personal tour guide, Lori

June 15-23: Host City (Kamisu, Ibaraki) Program school visits, cultural experiences

June 21-22: homestay with the Noguchi family

June 24-26: back to Tokyo for Project Resources sessions and group presentations
