- These socks were a gift from Lori, who teaches English in Tokyo. She exceeds in finding random gifts from Japan that I find hilarious. The socks are "sandal" socks and seem to be really popular there. I can't wait to find out for myself. Domo arigato (special thanks) to my wonderful husband, Adam, for supporting me in this trip of a lifetime!
